RELIVE THE NIGHTMARE: The House of the Dead 2 Returns in Remake Format

Forever Entertainment has surprised fans by announcing a free demo of the first level of The House of the Dead 2 Remake, available on Steam.
Players can dive into this iconic Sega shooter, either solo or in cooperative mode.
Originally released in 1998, the game is scheduled to be re-released in the spring of 2025 on modern platforms such as PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
This remastered version not only improves the graphics but also introduces a new soundtrack, with the option to enjoy the original music.
Additionally, it includes multiple endings, plot branches, and new game modes such as boss mode and a training mode.
This demo is part of the Steam Next Fest, which will be available until March 3, 2025.
The House of the Dead 2, a classic in the arcade horror genre with gunplay, is the second installment of the popular The House of the Dead series, developed by Sega.
Initially released in 1998, the game was also adapted for Dreamcast and PC, and later included as a bonus in The House of the Dead 3 for Xbox in 2003 and in the compilation The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return for Wii.
Its version for Dreamcast stood out as one of the Sega All Stars titles.
The game was innovative for allowing players to reload the gun using a specific peripheral, although it could also be played with the standard Dreamcast gamepad.
It offered various gameplay modes and continued the story of the saga, where a scientist named Goldman creates a race of zombies to eliminate humanity and preserve nature, confronting the player with characters from the previous installment and rewarding them for saving civilians.
