WHO ARE WE?

90’s Legends was born from a genuine passion for retro video games.

Behind the project is me, Luis Barquero Lanti, although in the world of digital marketing many know me as Luigi. My story with video games began like that of many children from the 80s and 90s: playing at friends' houses on the Atari 2600 or the Master System.

But it was with my first console, a Mega Drive, when I knew this was more than just entertainment.

That curious child soon asked a question that would change everything: How are these games made? The answer led me to sell my console to buy an Amstrad PC1512 and start programming.

Thus began a journey that took me to study computer science at the Lope de Vega institute (Córdoba, Spain) and, years later, to work as a programmer in the banking sector for more than six years.

Since 2012 I have been a freelance digital marketer, combining my experience as a programmer with the creativity that has always accompanied me: drawing characters, writing stories, and directing role-playing games have been an essential part of my life.

90’s Legends is much more than a news website: it is a tribute to those games that marked our childhood, and a community for those of us who carry them tattooed in our memory.

Here we not only remember, but also celebrate the pixelated legacy of an unforgettable generation.
